What is Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra?

(DPN) is a benign cutaneous condition that tends to affect people with darker skin. It is usually characterised by multiples of small, dark bumps that usually appear on your face and neck.

How common is Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra?

The condition is very common usually starts during adolescence. As the skin matures, the bumps tend to grow bigger and increase in number.

How can Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra be treated?

One of the methods for treating DPN is by a diathermy current to lift the lesions from the skin surface.

What Results can I expect from one Electrolysis treatment?

Depending on how many are present on the skin this will effect the result from only one treatment, so a number of treatments may be necessary for complete removal. When each bump is treated after about 4 to 5 days they start to fall off leaving a clear area.
